Our story

Family-run, out of Somerville, since 2009.

Hoad Drainage & Excavations is a family-run drainage and civil contractor based in Somerville on the Mornington Peninsula. Jarryd has been a licensed plumbing practitioner since 2009, and we've been on the tools across the Peninsula and South East Melbourne ever since.

We do the jobs people call us for most, CCTV inspections, blocked drains and jetting, and non-destructive digging, alongside full sewer, stormwater and civil drainage for homeowners, builders and developers.

Local and equipped

Set up for the job, close to home.

We're based on the Peninsula and run our own gear, including a vacuum excavation truck for digging safely around live services. Being local means we can get to a blockage quickly and we know the ground we're working on, from Peninsula new builds through to the eastern suburbs.

Whether it's a single blocked drain or the underground stage of a build, you deal with the same team from the first call to the finished job.

    Licensed and compliant

    We're VBA-licensed for sewer and stormwater drainage. We notify the VBA and issue a certificate of compliance on completion, so it's on record for your inspector and your files.

    We turn up and keep you posted

    We treat your program as ours. We turn up when we say we will, and we'll tell you early if something in the plans is going to cause a problem later, not once it's a hole in the ground.
